There wasn’t any other title I could give to this image! One afternoon we were driving around in Naboisho, one of the Masai Mara conservancies, trying to relocate two male lions that we had last seen sleeping on the side of a hill in the morning. Luckily for us they were still in the same spot, but one of them got a bit annoyed that we disturbed its sleep and gave me this look! I love the fact that I could take this shot from a low angle as the lion was well above my eye level – it makes it look way more haughty having it literally look down to me. Adds to the “personality” element of this portrait.
