Ring Tailed Lemurs in a hurry

Ring Tailed Lemurs in a hurry

I was in Berenty, Madagascar, patiently waiting for the Verreaux’s Sifakas to do their “dance” when I spotted these Ring Tailed Lemurs running in the distance.  Since the Verreaux’s Sifakas still seemed to be busy eating I abandoned my post and decided to run and position myself to get photos of the Ring Tails instead.  This is what I came up with.

And yes, I did have enough time to return back to my Verreaux’s Sifaka staking post in time to get photos of them dancing too :)  In wildlife photography one always needs to be aware of the surroundings and ready to seize any opportunity, even if it means running around with heavy equipment like a madwoman in the searing heat!
