I was in Berenty, Madagascar, patiently waiting for the Verreaux’s Sifakas to do their “dance” when I spotted these Ring Tailed Lemurs running in the distance. Since the Verreaux’s Sifakas still seemed to be busy eating I abandoned my post and decided to run and position myself to get photos of the Ring Tails instead. This is what I came up with.
And yes, I did have enough time to return back to my Verreaux’s Sifaka staking post in time to get photos of them dancing too In wildlife photography one always needs to be aware of the surroundings and ready to seize any opportunity, even if it means running around with heavy equipment like a madwoman in the searing heat!
