Patience

Patience

If I had to choose one of my favourite places in Madagascar Berenty would surely be fighting for the top spot.  Apart from the very interesting ecosystems in the area, the lemurs there are all pretty used to humans and their silly big cameras.  In the morning the Ring-Tailed lemurs hang around the breakfast area.  Usually very little can distract me from breakfast, or any food for that matter – but there I was, stalking these fascinating critters who were in turn trying to get to my unattended food with the poor waiters left frantically trying to fend them off.  I was particularly interested in mother Ring-Tailed lemurs with babies.  The little ones are pure bundles of energy, rarely staying still enough for a photo.  When they do their head is usually buried in their mom’s back or chest.  Anyway I did manage to capture this moment where the mom is seemingly on the verge of exasperation with her offspring.
