First blog post of the year, so I am taking this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful 2015!
While we were watching this leopard in Chobe we heard some rustling noises. It was a squirrel busily foraging around higher up in the tree the leopard was having a nap in. Clearly we weren’t the only ones interested in wildlife watching on this day! It was funny to watch the leopard’s reaction – we could clearly see it fancying the squirrel as a snack, but it knew perfectly well it would not make an easy one! So the leopard had to content itself simply following the squirrel’s every movement with its eyes while swishing its tail back and forth in frustration. Meanwhile I had a great opportunity to photograph the leopard’s fascinated expression.
