I took this photo one late afternoon in the Naboisho conservancy in the Masai Mara. We were following two lion brothers when they came across the rest of the pride. One of the females was behaving in a peculiar manner – she was being very submissive, and looking a bit stressed with the presence of one of the males. Once the male made himself comfortable she proceeded to sit at a distance behind him constantly giving him the “stink-eye” while he posed nicely for photos I couldn’t help but wonder what happened to interfere with their domestic bliss …
